New in town: Yappari Steak – Lava stone steaks at famous Okinawa steakhouse’s first outlet

The wait is finally over for steak lovers. Originating from Okinawa, Yappari Steak has opened its first-ever Singapore outlet at VivoCity.

This famous Japanese steakhouse chain was founded in 2015 and is renowned for its lava stone steaks grilled on lava stone plates from the tallest mountain in Japan. Yes, the iconic Mt. Fuji.

The newly-opened VivoCity branch marks their first outlet in Southeast Asia! With over 100 outlets in Japan, 4 in Australia and even 1 in Nepal, Yappari Steak truly upholds their mission of delighting diners worldwide with authentic Japanese steaks.

Let’s return to the lava stone steaks which I’m sure many of us are intrigued about.

Why lava stone plates? The popular chain’s thick-cut steaks are served on sizzling hot plates from Mt. Fuji which efficiently distribute heat due to their porous surface. As a result, it is guaranteed that diners will enjoy each steak at its peak freshness and flavour.

Meticulously prepared to perfection, the signature Verified Black Angus Beef is made from rare Misuji cuts with a mere yield of 0.8% per head of cattle. If this isn’t premium, I’m not sure what is.

The star dish of Yappari Steak is none other than Yappari Steak Top Blade, which is available in 3 sizes: 150g, 200g and 300g, priced at S$19.80, S$23.80 and S$33.80 respectively. You may also top up S$13.80 for an additional 100g.

Boasting a menu that predominantly consists of beef steak, the steakhouse offers other steak options such as the Hamburg Steak (S$16.80) and Mix Cut Steak (S$22.80). What’s more, all lava stone steaks will come with free-flow Japanese rice, salad and soup. So worth it!

Here’s some tips to personalise your Japanese steak experience. Including onion sauce and ground black pepper, their array of provided condiments and seasonings will complement and/or enhance your steak. And similar to other steakhouses, diners can select their preferred level of meat doneness.

Yappari Steak - Garlic Butter Rice

Of course, Yappari Steak also offers non-hotplate dishes. From Japanese Vegetable Curry (S$5.80) to Beef Tendon Stew Rice (S$13.80), keep an eye out for a diverse range of dishes that will delight your palate. As a Pepper Lunch lover, I’m personally eyeing on their savoury Garlic Butter Rice (S$6.80) that looks so tantalising to look at.

Sayonara guys, I will be heading down to get my share of lava stone steak.
