World Football - Roof to be closed for Sweden-England match

England's international friendly with Sweden to be played under a retractable roof at the Friends Arena in Stockholm on Wednesday evening.

The temperature is likely to reach 20 degrees despite the cold outside in the state-of-the-art new 50,000-seat stadium.

The Arena, built in a brand new development in the Solna district, is still not entirely finished, with building work continuing on one side of the ground.

Rasunda Stadium, soon-to-be-demolished, had been the home of Swedish football for 75 years and hosted the 1958 World Cup final.

Roy Hodgson's side take on Sweden on Wednesday evening, having won the last encounter between the sides in the group stage of the European Championship in June, rallying to a 3-2 victory.
