Ski Jumping - Wank wins in Japan

Germany ski-jumper Andreas Wank followed up his win last week in Hinterzarten with another victory in Hakuba, Japan.

The 24-year-old coasted to victory with a haul of 259.8 points on the Olympic hill, 8.7 ahead of his nearest rival, Switzerland's Simon Ammann.

Home competitor Noriaki Kasai was third with a haul of 248.3, claiming his first place on a grand prix podium since he did so on the same hill in 2009.

Kasai was one of four Japanese competitors to finish in the top 10, along with Taku Takeuchi (sixth), Sho Suzuki (eighth) and Yuta Watase (10th).
