Having three British players in the final was a big boost to the British game and will see Murray and Peers move up the rankings as they aim to make the end of season ATP Tour World Finals in London.

Murray and Peers were the 24th-ranked partnership going into the competition but they can expect a big jump when the new rankings are released on Monday.

Fleming and Hutchins were 33rd in the race rankings before Munich.

The form of the British trio will be a boost to British Davis Cup captain Leon Smith who used Fleming with Andy Murray in their last Davis Cup tie against Italy last month.

The duo won their match but Murray then lost in the final round of singles after playing for the third time in three days.

The men's singles final will see number one seed Fabio Fognini of Italy play Martin Klizan of Slovakia later on Sunday.
