T20 clash washed out

India's opening Twenty20 match against New Zealand was washed out after torrential rain in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

The match was expected to see Yuvraj Singh return to the India team following treatment for cancer, which has kept the big-hitting left-hander out of cricket since November of last year.

He underwent chemotherapy in the United States, and his recall for the two-match series came as a surprise with Yuvraj not having played a match at domestic level since.

His comeback should now come in the second match in the series, due to be played in Chennai on Tuesday, before Yuvraj and India head to the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
