Spanish Liga - Garcia helps Espanyol beat Betis

An early goal from Sergio García proved to be the difference as Espanyol beat Real Betis 1-0 at Cornella-El Prat.

Garcia slotted home into the lower left of the net after getting a pass from Christian Stuani and finishing the move with a right foot.

Garcia was on the pitch for 89 minutes against Real Betis. The striker scored in the seventh minute and took three shots.

The Periquitos now sit in 12th in the table with a record of eight wins, nine losses and seven draws.

Los Beticos are in eight place, and in striking distance of Real Sociedad in sixth with a record of 11 wins, 10 losses and three draws leaving them one behind after 24 games.
