Snooker - Sheffield to stage World Championship qualifiers

The English Institute of Sport in Sheffield will once again host the qualifying rounds of snooker's World Championship in April.

Steve Davis, Jimmy White and Ken Doherty will be among the famous names battling to make it to the televised stages of snooker's greatest tournament.

The qualifiers run from April 4 to 14 and the 16 players to make it through to the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield for the main event from April 20 to May 6.

They will be drawn at random against the top 16 seeds.
