Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has no fresh injury concerns - with Sandro (calf) and Vlad Chriches (back) remaining sidelined.
Midfielder Mathieu Flamini serves the last of his three-match ban, while Aaron Ramsey (thigh) and deadline-day loan signing Kim Kallstrom (back) are not fit along with defender Thomas Vermaelen (calf); Phil Jones and Marouanne Fellaini are set to miss out for United.
Striker Marko Arnautovic remains doubtful with an ankle injury after missing Saturday's 2-2 draw at Southampton where fellow forward Oussama Assaidi picked up a hamstring knock late on. Hughes continues to be without Robert Huth with a knee injury. For the Swans, Jonjo Shelvey is set to miss out as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Forward Michu has a chance of featuring, but may not be risked as he closes in on a return from ankle surgery
New recruit Kostas Mitroglou misses out on making his Fulham debut due to injury. Brendan Rodgers may include Portugal Under-21 midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira in the travelling party to freshen up the squad after training with the first team recently.
