Premier League - Pirlo: Lampard could prolong career at Juventus

Andrea Pirlo would welcome Frank Lampard at Juventus if the Chelsea midfielder is forced to leave Stamford Bridge.

Pirlo, 33, has enjoyed a purple patch in his career following a move to Juventus in the summer of 2011, and believes that Lampard, now 34, could enjoy a similar bounce in Turin.

Lampard is looking likely to be moved on when his contract expires at Stamford Bridge in the summer, with Manchester United and LA Galaxy amongst the clubs most linked with his signature.

“I can only make comment on what I see,” Pirlo is quoted as saying the Daily Mail. “And from what I see, Lampard is still one of the best central midfield players in the world.

“If he wanted to try at playing in Italy, I would welcome him at Juventus for sure. In Italy, Frank would comfortably have another four years at the top level.”
