Tottenham 3-2 Southampton

Tim Sherwood: "It was a massive, massive win for us. We know we have a tough period ahead. On paper, they look easier games after the Liverpool one, but they're the harder ones. When people come here with expectancy, let me tell you, it is harder to come from 2-0 down at home than 2-0 away from home. Unless you've played the game, you won't understand. There is an expectancy but it takes real guts, character and spirit to do that and we showed that today. Brilliant."

Mauricio Pochettino: "It was not that we started well, I thought we had a very good game overall. We were 2-0 up and controlling it, especially in the first half. Their first goal came from a clear foul on Dejan Lovren so that should not have been allowed to stand. Then came the equaliser, an injury to Nathaniel Clyne as well and it was a heavy punishment for the way that we played. I thought that we deserved more but there were some refereeing decisions that did not go our way and, despite that, I thought we did very well against a very good Tottenham side."

Aston Villa 1-4 Stoke City

Paul Lambert: "The whole performance was unlike us. We looked lethargic. We never got going and you try and get a goal back and it just never materialised. Andy [Wiemann] had a severe dead leg that he couldn't shake off. We will have to see how he is. Karim [El Ahmadi] has a little thigh strain."

Mark Hughes: "He [Crouch] has given us a focal point, and his link up play was brilliant today. He is an international-class player, he has proven that at international level. He has a great record for England. Maybe the people in charge are looking for a similar type of player as effective as Pete. Maybe his time has come and gone, but if he was asked to go I am sure he would go. If anyone rang me up and wanted a view on whether or not I think Peter should go to the World Cup, I can obviously give them a very positive one."
