Premier League - Coutinho wants Inter stay

Liverpool target Philippe Coutinho says he has no intention of leaving Inter Milan in January.

The Brazilian midfielder, 20, has been the subject of a bid from Liverpool and it was reported yesterday that both parties were hopeful of a deal being concluded.

However, while flattered by Liverpool's interest, Coutinho has told the Italian press he has no pressing desire to leave the Nerazzurri.

"The Liverpool offer? I'm happy with these offers, because it means I am doing my job well," he told Sky Italia.

"But I think Inter have faith in me and I want to show my value here. I don't feel that I'm on my way out. I hope to stay at Inter."

Coutinho joined Inter in 2010 and impressed in the first half of the 2010-11 season under former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez

Last season he scored five goals in 16 games on loan at Spanish club Espanyol.
