Notts County fail in Boucard red appeal

Notts County were unsuccessful in their attempts to have Andre Boucaud's red-card decision overturned.

The midfielder was given a three-match suspension after being dismissed after only 22 minutes of the Magpies' 2-2 draw at Oldham.

The Luton loanee missed the 1-1 draw at MK Dons and will now definitely be unavailable for the clashes with Portsmouth and Sheffield United.

Manager Keith Curle told the club's official website: "It's a situation and something that I've got to take on the chin, and Andre's got to take on the chin.

"The disappointing thing from my point of view is that we've got a team policy in place whereby if you get suspended for a sending-off, you get fined two weeks' wages.

"I can honestly say that I sympathise with Andre, because he's going to miss two weeks' money because of what I thought was an innocuous challenge."
