Ligue 1 - English PSG employee killed in crash

Nick Broad, Paris Saint-Germain’s performance director, has died from injuries suffered in a car crash.

The Englishman, 38, was involved in serious accident on Thursday afternoon near the Paris area.

It is believed his Mini collided with a Peugeot on the A13 heading towards Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

Broad suffered serious injuries and passed away on Friday with his family by his side at a hospital in Creteil. The news was reported by various French news outlets, including Eurosport.fr and Le Parisien.

The former Chelsea, Blackburn and Birmingham nutritionist was brought to PSG by boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The French football league reportedly rejected an earlier request to postpone PSG's match with Bordeaux on Sunday, apparently because broadcasters Canal+ were unwilling to reschedule the match.
