Liga - Levante in stalemate with Valladolid

European hopefuls Levante drew 1-1 at relegation-threatened Valladolid to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to seven games.

Victor headed Levante in front after 25 minutes from Andreas Ivanschitz's free-kick, only for Javi Guerra's deflected shot seven minutes into the second half to level things up.

It was the Valladolid striker's 12th goal of the season but it was not enough to add to the one victory picked up in their last nine outings and Juan Ignacio Martínez's side remain in 18th place, two points off safety.

The draw was Levante's ninth stalemate of the season but, still, the point at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla was enough for Joaquín Caparrós' side to inch ahead of a trio of teams on 32 points - Sevilla, Valencia and Espanyol - and into seventh place ahead of the remainder of the weekend's action.

Former Valencia, Liverpool, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Mohamed Sissoko made his debut for Levante as a second-half substitute, having ended a five-month period without a club.
