League Two - Gillingham miss chance to go top

Gillingham missed a chance to go top of League Two as they were held 1-1 by struggling York City, but counted themselves lucky not to have been beaten.

Charlie Lee's own goal put York ahead just after the quarter hour mark, and York looked like hanging on for just a ninth win of the season until Cody McDonald equalised five minutes from full time.

Lee Brown, Ellis Harrison and Joe Anyinsah were all on target for Bristol Rovers as they won 3-1 at Rotherham to pull themselves off the bottom of the table, with the visitors leading 3-0 until David Noble's late consolation effort.

Burton Albion climbed into the play-off places as they enjoyed a 1-0 win over Barnet, with Jacques Maghoma's fourth-minute penalty the only goal of the match.

Southend are just one spot behind them thanks to a late goal by Gavin Tomlin which gave them a 1-0 win away at Chesterfield.

Fleetwood also climbed the table thanks to a win, their 3-0 victory over Oxford United lifting them into eight spot courtesy of goals by Jamile Matt, Ryan Crowther and Jon Parkin.

Dagenham & Redbridge let slip a one-goal lead with seven minutes left as they went down 2-1 at home to Morecambe.

Luke Wilkinson had put Dagenham ahead on the hour mark, but Stewart Drummond's goal on 81 minutes and Ryan Williams's effort two minutes later gave the visitors the win.

Plymouth Argyle drew 0-0 with Accrington Stanley in a result that did neither side any favours, with Argyle still third from bottom and Accrington a mere three points above the drop zone.
