League Two - Coventry made to wait for JPT semi-final opponent

The winners of the clash between Bury and Preston will travel to Coventry in the Northern Area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Shakers' clash with North End was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch in midweek, while the Sky Blues claimed a penalty shootout victory against Sheffield United.

In the other Northern semi, Bradford will travel to Crewe.

The Alex knocked out Doncaster in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in midweek, while the Bantams eased to a 2-0 win at Port Vale.

Phil Parkinson's side were this week ejected from the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player, but are appealing the decision.

Oxford have been drawn at home to Southend in the Southern Area semi-finals of the JPT.

The U's progressed via a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw against Plymouth in midweek, while the Shrimpers were 2-1 winners at home to Brentford.

And finally Yeovil will head to Leyton Orient to round out the Southern draw.

The O's cruised to a 3-0 win at Northampton in midweek, while the Glovers were 2-0 victors at home to Wycombe.

Ties are to be played during the week of January 7.
