Juventus suffer Caceres blow

Juventus defender Martin Caceres has suffered a knee injury that could rule him out for up to six weeks.

Caceres, 25, damaged the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during the Trofeo TIM pre-season tournament on Saturday.

A scan has since revealed the Uruguay international to have suffered a first-to-second-degree tear of the ligament, which will leave him out of action for a month and needing at least two weeks to regain fitness.

Winger Simone Pepe also picked up an injury that night, but his thigh tear is set to rule him out for around three weeks.

Both players will miss the Supercoppa match against Napoli on August 11.
