Wilder's contract with the League Two leaders is up in six months and he spoke to Portsmouth last week before they appointed Richie Barker.
"We will go and give it another go at Charlton in the new year. Our away record is fantastic, we played them at the start of the season and that is the only time we've got done away from home, they did us in the League Cup. We know we will have to play really well.
"In the second half we knew we needed to do a little bit more and we did, we had good control of the game. I always fancied us to get back into the game and we did and we were pretty comfortable at the end."
