Football - Trotman extends Pilgrims stay

Plymouth defender Neal Trotman has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him with the Pilgrims until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has played 26 games for John Sheridan's side since joining from Chesterfield in the summer.

Sheridan told the club's official website: "He's agreed to stay until the end of the season. Everything's done. I'm pleased about that.

"It's important that we keep a nucleus in the dressing room because we've got a very good dressing room at the moment. They all get on with each other and I think that's a big part of having a successful team."
