Football - Ling has options

Torquay boss Martin Ling has a number of options available to him as he looks to replace Ryan Jarvis ahead of his side's trip to Plymouth on Boxing Day.

The 26-year-old former Norwich man is sidelined with a fractured rib and punctured lung sustained in their 1-1 draw with Northampton and looks set to miss the next two months.

Since Saturday's clash with Exeter fell victim to the weather, Billy Bodin has had time to recover from an ankle injury and is vying for a place in the starting XI along with Nathan Craig and Ashley Yeoman.

Torquay remain without Ian Morris (Achilles) and Lloyd Macklin (broken metatarsal) while centre-back Brian Saah will miss out through suspension for his straight red card at Bradford.
