Football - Beevers set for Lions switch

Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers will make his loan move to Millwall permanent when the January transfer window opens.

The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for the 23-year-old centre-half, who has made 11 appearances for the Londoners since joining them on loan in October.

Beevers, a product of Wednesday's academy, made 161 appearances for the Owls before falling out of favour under current manager Dave Jones.

But he has been a regular for Kenny Jackett's side and scored the equaliser in a 2-2 draw at London rivals Crystal Palace in his second game for the Lions.
