League Two - Andrew leaves Stags

Striker Calvin Andrew has left Mansfield.

Andrew joined the Sky Bet League Two club in the summer following a successful trial but the short-term contract he signed has now expired and the 27-year-old has been told he is not part of manager Paul Cox's future plans.

The former Crystal Palace and Port Vale forward scored just one goal in 16 appearances for the Stags - the winner in September's 1-0 success against local rivals Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium.

Mansfield chairman John Radford confirmed Andrews' departure at a fans' forum on Monday night.

At the gathering Radford also dismissed rumours that former Doncaster chairman John Ryan was set to become involved with the club.
