Roberto Soldado ended his recent barren run with a hat-trick in Tottenham's 4-1 Group K win over Anzhi Makhachkala at White Hart Lane.
The Spanish forward - a £25 million signing from Valencia - had not scored for Andre Villas-Boas's side since the end of October, but justified his return to the first team with an eye-catching performance.
He netted twice in the opening 16 minutes before converting a penalty 20 minutes from time after substitute Ryan Fredericks was deemed to have been fouled in the Anzhi penalty area.
It was Soldado's first treble since October 23 2012 when he helped himself to three for Valencia against BATE Borisov in the Champions League.
Lewis Holtby scored Tottenham's other goal nine minutes after the break from an Andros Townsend cross in an accomplished outing that saw the Russian side outlclassed despite Ewerton's goal giving them hope in trailing 2-1 at half-time.
Tottenham had already finalised their place in the last 32 of the tournament, but progress as group winners with a perfect record of 18 points from six matches.
7' - SOLDADO HEADER: Gylfi Sigurdsson with the free-kick and Soldado nods into the gaping net. A 1-0 lead for Spurs.
16' - LAMELA FINDS SOLDADO FOR SECOND: Soldado slides the ball into the net from the Lamela pass. Brilliant goal with the visiting side ripped apart.
44' - EWERTON GIVES ANZHI HOPE: Ewerton sticks the ball into the net ahead of Capoue. Burmistrov with the delivery from the corner. Anzhi back in this match at 2-1 behind.
54' - HOLTBY SHOWS CLASS: Brilliant goal from the home side. Lovely pass from Townsend. Holtby controls the ball with his left before flicking the ball into the net with his left foot. A 3-1 lead.
70' - SOLDADO TREBLE: Soldado planted the ball to the goalkeeper's right. He guessed right, but Soldado did just enough to slot the kick.
Tottenham are one of only two teams (with Red Bull Salzburg) to win all six Europa League group games this season.
Roberto Soldado's goal was his first-ever from open play at White Hart Lane for the Lilywhites (in all comps). Free.
Spurs are already sure of a home game in the second leg of their round of 32 game as Group K winners. Anzhi will finish as runners-up.
TALKING POINT: Will Roberto Soldado start against Liverpool? Has done his prospects no harm in what is a key outing for Spurs against Brendan Rodgers's side at White Hart Lane on Sunday. A win could see Spurs move joint second in the Premier League table.
