His partner Jack Laugher added the 3m synchro gold to his individual crown.
Laugher and Daley were consistent throughout the rounds building up their lead steadily with each diver and Daley admitted this was the key to their success.
"It was a crazy competition,” said Daley. “I don’t usually do springboard and Jack rarely does Synchro so we weren’t sure how we would get on beforehand.
“We had a slightly easier list than some of our competitors but we executed all the dives well and steadily built a lead throughout the competition. It’s my first gold medal at a Junior Worlds and it is great to say I am Junior World Champion.”
The duo finished top of the pile with a total score of 338.85 for their five-round effort ahead of Russia’s Ilia Kuzmin and Maxim Popkov who scored 307.92 and Australia’s Matthew Barnard and Darcy Taylor who took bronze with 305.88.
Daley will be in action again on Saturday in his preferred event, the 10m Platform.
