Dakar - Bikes: Caselli wins stage amid tragedy

American Kurt Caselli won stage seven of the Dakar Rally, which was marred by the death of rider Thomas Bourgin.

French rider Bourgin tragically lost his life after colliding with a police car in northern Chile as he was driving to the start of Friday's special stage.

Caselli scored his first win on the rally on the route across the Andes mountain range while Cyril Despres lost ground on overall leader Olivier Pain.

He becomes the first newcomer to top the podium since Ruben Faria in 2006, in his native Portugal.
