Boxing - Haroon Khan continues at super-fly on Coldwell's card

Bolton’s Haroon Khan will make his fourth professional appearance on Dave Coldwell’s first show of 2014.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist returns to the city where he made his pro debut last spring, and promoter Coldwell is delighted to have the super-flyweight protégé boxing on his card.

“I’ve known of Haroon Khan since he was a young lad and he’s always been a boxer that has impressed me.  When boxing as an amateur, Haroon always competed at a high level and he’s got the scalps of some quality operators on his record including Andrew Selby.

“He’s made a solid start to his professional journey and he’ll be looking to keep that form up when he turns out on Coldwell Boxing’s first show of the year. It’s an absolute pleasure to be working with him and his team.”

Top of the bill at the Ice Arena is a Yorkshire derby between Rotherham’s Nav Mansouri (12-1-2) and Barnsley’s Matthew Mallin (9-1-1) for Nav’s English light middleweight title. On the undercard, a Sheffield versus Barnsley scrap sees Dave Fidler (7-0-2) take on Lee Noble (16-24-3).
