Bobsleigh - Jackson seals 14th-place finish in Winterberg

Team GB's John Jackson led his crew to a 14th-place finish in the four-men Bobsleigh World Cup event in Winterberg with fellow Brit Lamin Deen finishing with his crew in 19th position.

After their two runs the team of Jackson, Bruce Tasker, Craig Pickering and Joel Fearon finished in a combined time of 1:51.59 seconds, 1.5seconds behind Germany's Maximilian Arndt who finished first.

Deen, who was accompanied by David Coleman, Ben Simons and Andrew Matthews, finished a further 0.46 back.

GB need both teams to finish in the top 14 in order to qualify for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and currently Jackson lies in tenth place with 674 points.

Deen however is back in 20th position and is a full 126 points behind the team currently ranked in 14, the Latvian crew led by Oskars Melbardis.
