Bobsleigh - Hefti makes it two from two on home ice in St Moritz

Beat Hefti claimed his second successive two-man bobsleigh World Cup win on home ice in St Moritz with American Steven Holcomb once again off the podium.

Hefti ended Holcomb's run of four wins from four this season last time out in Winterberg, the American placing seventh, and results in Switzerland mirrored those in Germany.

Second behind Francesco Friedrich after run one, Hefti jumped up into first place with a second run of 1:06.66 minutes while Alexander Zubkov also moved up, to second 0.18 seconds behind.

Friedrich placed third having followed his opening run of 1:06.64 with a 1:07.06 while Lyndon Rush was fourth before the four-man Olympic champion from Vancouver 2010 Holcomb in fifth.

Great Britain's John Jackson again underperformed as he and Bruce Tasker failed to qualify for the second run, the opening effort of 1:07.85 good enough for just the one outing and 21st overall.
