Despite winning the first World Cup race of the season, also a 15km individual event in Oestersund, Soukalova went the next eight races without climbing the podium.
But the Czech Republic biathlete changed all that in superb style as she came home in 40:32.6 minutes, with one penalty, to claim her second victory of the season.
And there was plenty more for the Czech Republic to celebrate as Soukalova was joined on the podium by compatriot Veronika Vitkova, the first time in biathlon history that the nation has had two women finish in the top three.
Sandwiched between the two Czech's was Darya Domracheva of Belarus, 34.3 seconds behind Soukalova after collecting two penalties in the final standing shooting stage.
Soukalova stays atop the overall World Cup standings on 366 points, 28 ahead of Domracheva and Ukrainian Valj Semerenko.
