The Phoenix Suns have waived Michael Beasley, ending the forward's tenure with the team one year into a three-year deal and one month after his arrest for suspected marijuana possession.

Beasley, who averaged a career-low 10.1 points per game in 2012-13, reached a termination agreement reducing the amount the team will pay him for the remaining two years on his contract.

The Toronto Raptors have waived guard-forward Quentin Richardson, less than two months after acquiring him in a trade with the New York Knicks.

Richardson, who came to Toronto on July 10 along with center Marcus Camby, forward Steve Nash and three future draft picks in exchange for forward Andrea Bargnani, signed with the Knicks in April and played in five playoff games, averaging just under three minutes per contest.
