Asha Phillip won the women's 60m to complete a good day for British sprinters, while Holly Bleasdale won the pole vault competition.
The results helped the British team - made up of the UK minus Scotland - to second place in the event, which was won by a Commonwealth select team.
The USA came third while host nation Scotland came fourth and last, though the home crowd had something to cheer about as Laura Muir broke the Scottish record in the women's 800m with a 2:00.94.
Bleasdale put in a solid performance after a nervy start, jumping 4.62m on her way to a win.
"I was a little bit rusty but, by the end of it, I was in the groove," said Bleasdale.
"Last year I was really nervous every time and wasn't really enjoying it. It wasn't a good place to be whereas now I'm really happy. This year I'm happy to be back."
British sprint hurdler - and team captain - William Sharman lost a photo finish in the 60m hurdles to American Jeff Porter.
