The 20-year-old alpine skier has until January 19 to stake her claim for a place and has just made her third career World Cup appearance in Lienz.
Tilley placed 44th during the first run of the giant slalom, her other two World Cup outings coming in the slalom, however that wasn't enough for her to ski again.
She will now step down to the Europa Cup and, with races coming thick and fast as the Sochi 2014 qualification deadline approaches, she's determined to show her promise.
And, despite admitting that there is no margin for error if she is to compete at the Olympics in February, Tilley is relishing the challenge that lies ahead.
"I feel like I am capable of hitting the standard but it would probably have to be a perfect day. It will be tough but not impossible," she said.
"There are still three or four Europa Cup events with the next one being in Switzerland. But it is going to be tight as to whether I make it to the Winter Olympics."
