    • 90+3' FULL TIME. Israel pegged back twice as 10-man Norway secure a point with an injury-time goal. A great start to the tournament.
    • 90+2' What a game we have had - any more late drama?
    • 90+1' GOAL! Israel 2-2 Norway! Singh strikes a late equaliser for 10-man Norway! It's a fine finish from the edge of the box after a lovely piece of chest control from Nielsen.
    • 90' We will have four added minutes.
    • 89' Kalibat stands over a free-kick and sends the ball curling high over the bar.
    • 88' CHANCE FOR ISRAEL! Zaguri almost scores a great goal as he plays a cunning one-two and is only denied by an important intervention from Elabdellaoui.
    • 86' Norway always look capable of scoring - but can they dig out a goal in what remains?
    • 84' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! Pedersen gets away from his marker to flick a header at goal but keeper Klaiman saves for Israel.
    • 82' Pedersen with another chance and he lashes a shot down the throat of the keeper. Never really looked like going in.
    • 81' Tense moments now as Israel aim to hold onto a win in their opening fixture of this tournament. It's hard to say they deserve it really.
    • 79' Krieff with a shot from range but his effort sails over the bar.
    • 77' Double change for Norway: Harmeet Singh comes on for Konradsen while Havard Nielsen replaces Berget.
    • 76' Norway's Berget is down after a heavy clash of heads and he needs lengthy treatment.
    • 75' Now Biton does make way as Israel replace their captain and goalscorer with Israel Zaguri.
    • 73' That was a fine finish and Norway will be kicking themselves to be losing this game. They've had so many chances.
    • 71' GOAL! Israel 2-1 Norway! Substitute Turgeman gets the hosts in front! A fantastic poacher's finish from the forward as the ball bounces up for him in the box and he drills a volley past Nyland and into the corner.
    • 70' CHANCE FOR ISRAEL! And what a chance! Golsa cuts the ball back for Dabbur and after controlling the ball and turning he fires a shot wide from a tight angle when he should really have slotted it past Nyland!
    • 69' Biton looked a certainty to go off but he's been patched up by the medical staff and is back on!
    • 68' Biton comes off on a little golf cart for treatment and it appears he will have to be replaced. That's a big blow.
    • 66' Israel have a problem as captain Biton requires treatment. They won't want to lose him.
    • 64' Brilliant work from right-back Elabdellaoui as he skips past his man to hit the byline but he can't pick out a red shirt in the centre.
    • 62' Substitute Turgeman gets a shot away from the edge of the box but he doesn't catch the ball right as it rolls through for Nyland.
    • 61' Pedersen should have buried one of those chances to put Norway 2-1 up.
    • 60' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! Pedersen must score! The forward finds space on the right of the box and is played in by a superb pass from Eikrem. However, Pedersen fires his shot against the legs of Klaiman as he slips.
    • 58' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! A free-kick comes in from the right and Pedersen heads over when well placed in the box!
    • 57' Baroch comes off to be replaced by Alon Turgeman.
    • 56' Berget does well to hold onto the ball under extreme pressure and Krieff eventually brings him to ground with a clumsy challenge.
    • 55' Pedersen tries to go on a jinking run through the box but loses control of the ball as he touches it away from another Israel shirt.
    • 53' Israel still on the rack despite having 11 men to Norway's 10. They've looked short of ideas throughout.
    • 51' Now Eikrem has a wild shot from range that fizzes well wide of the post.
    • 50' Israel create a rare chance as the ball finds Kalibat on the right and his low shot is saved at the near post by Nyland.
    • 49' That's three times Norway have hit the woodwork now, would you believe.
    • 48' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! A shot from Konradsen takes a touch off the boot of an opposing defender and sends the ball squirming away from keeper Klaiman. He can only watch as it strikes the bottom of the post.
    • 47' Eyal Golsa leaves his boot in on Elabdellaoui to earn a booking. That was high, late and not very pretty.
    • 46' Krieff gets a shot away from long range as Israel make an early statement of intent.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • 45+3' HALF TIME. Norway entirely dominant in open play, but a penalty and a red card have Israel level and in with a chance of snatching a win.
    • 45+2' Baroch goes into the book for a clumsy challenge on his marker in the box.
    • 45+2' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! Norway ping a long ball downfield and De Lanlay cuts inside his man and fires wide of the post with the goal at his mercy. A big chance.
    • 45+1' We will have two added minutes in the first half.
    • 45' Biton takes ownership of the free-kick but slams his shot into the wall. Norway on the ropes now after such a dominant first half.
    • 44' RED CARD! Dabbur puts a ball through for Kalibat and he gets the wrong side of Vegar Eggen Hedenstad, who drags him to ground. A clear dismissal.
    • 42' Krieff tries to unlock the Norway defence with an intelligent through-ball but he puts too much on it and can't quote find his man. Still, better than almost anything that has gone before from the home side.
    • 40' A brief lull in proceedings but Israel are still unable to create anything of note in the final third. They've looked a bit short of the required standard.
    • 38' A change for Israel as Marouan Kabah is forced off and Ofir Krieff comes on in his place.
    • 37' The first booking as Konradsen goes into the box for a late challenge on Ban Haroush in midfield.
    • 36' Norway always look dangerous on the attack. They have used the ball far better than the hosts this evening.
    • 34' Israel try to find Or Baroch with a dinked ball over the top but the striker can't get the ball under control.
    • 32' NORWAY HIT THE WOODWORK! Eikrem makes a lovely little pass in for Berget and he rattles the post with a first-time effort.
    • 30' NORWAY HIT THE WOODWORK! A clearance rolls to Konradsen 25 yards out and he hits a first-time curler which clips the top of the bar. Decent effort.
    • 28' Barouch has a shot blocked for Israel, who haven't shown a lot of invention in the final third.
    • 27' Pedersen has turned the tide of this game back towards Norway and given their dominance in this first half you'd fancy them to go on and win.
    • 25' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! Pedersen looks lively in the box once again but Dasa just about gets a foot in as the forward tries to pull the trigger.
    • 24' GOAL! Israel 1-1 Norway! Pedersen draws his side level with a very determined piece of forward play. Johansen lifts a pass into the box, Pedersen controls, holds off his man then slots a shot into the bottom corner on the turn.
    • 22' Biton tries a rather outrageous effort from about 45 yards out but Nyland watches it safely past the post.
    • 21' Israel can consider themselves rather fortunate to be a goal up as Norway have had the better of things so far. They've looked the better in possession and have had all the chances.
    • 19' The Israel keeper looks unconvincing once again from a set-piece as he fails to command his box but again Norway can't take advantage.
    • 18' Norway look to respond and Eikrem sees a decent effort turned behind by a deflection off Kabah. In comes the delivery and it goes behind for another corner.
    • 16' GOAL! Israel 1-0 Norway! The home fans erupt as captain Nir Biton strolls up and sends Nyland the wrong way from the penalty spot. Entirely against the run of play, but hey ho.
    • 15' PENALTY TO ISRAEL! Norway can't clear from a corner and Elabdellaoui catches Ben Haroush!
    • 14' Magnus Eikrem, formerly of Manchester United, tries a little curler from 20 yards but Klaiman is equal to it. Norway are all over Israel at the moment.
    • 13' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! Jo Inge Berget shifts the ball onto his right and gets a firm shot away. The ball appears to accelerate off the surface and Klaiman only just turns the ball behind for a corner.
    • 12' CHANCE FOR NORWAY! Anders Konradsen makes a late run into the box from a deep position in midfield and charges in between two defenders to connect with a cross. However, he gets under the ball and sends it spinning high into the air when he should have hit the target.
    • 11' Now Tawatha gets a block in for Israel. More committed defending.
    • 10' Israel keeper Boris Klaiman finds himself under renewed pressure from the corner and fumbles the ball before catching it, but the ref's given a free-kick in his favour.
    • 9' Our first shot as Pedersen pulls the trigger from inside the box but sees his effort blocked behind by Omri Ben Haroush.
    • 8' Norway ping an angled pass out to Yann-Erik de Lanlay on the right but the winger can't bring the ball under control.
    • 7' A decent enough start with both sides looking positive enough but we are still awaiting our first shot in Netanya.
    • 6' Now Munas Dabbur wins a free-kick in midfield when he is hacked to ground by Magnus Eikrem. That could have earned a yellow card later in the game.
    • 5' Dasa in with another smart challenge at right-back. He has started very well for Israel.
    • 4' Marcus Pedersen takes a tumble in the box under minimal contact from his Israeli marker. He looks hopefully for a penalty but doesn't get it.
    • 3' In comes the free-kick and Israel keeper Boris Klaiman fails to deal with it properly as the ball pops up into the air. Norway can't take advantage though.
    • 2' Omar Elabdellaoui wins a free-kick with a darting run down the Norway right as he is brought to ground by a clumsy challenge from Talb Tawatha.
    • 2' Israel right-back Elazar Dasa prevents a Norway attack down the flank with a fulsome challenge. Excellent from the defender.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 17:00 A brief opening ceremony and a blast of the two national anthems; now it's time for the ceremonial handshakes and the two sets of players begin to take up their positions.
    • 16:55 So who should you be looking out for in this eight-man tournament? We asked our experts from around Europe to pick out three players to watch from each team.
    • 16:50 Norway are without four of their best players as Valon Berisha, Joshua King, Havard Nordtveit and Markus Henriksen are all in the senior squad to play Albania in a World Cup qualifier on Friday.
    • 16:45 Norway coach Tor Ole Skullerud: "We have many good midfielders to choose from, and we are happy. I think this squad we have a good combination of form players and overseas pros who are in good shape and have been through qualifying. In summary, we have a squad that is well placed to achieve the goal of progressing."
    • 16:40 Israel coach Guy Luzon: "It will be the most exciting day of my life. The U21 Euros will feature the strongest national teams on the continent; that's why I have to pick not only the best and most talented, but also those who can go the distance and not break down at the moment of truth."

  1. I'm still trying to work out how Israel moved to EUROPE ?

From Chris C, on Wed 5 Jun 19:18
  2. Porc...no arguments there for the second half.... I think your a bit unfair on them for the first half though. I thought they would walk all over Israel until those terrible decisions screwed them ! Lets hope England put up a better show !

From Chris C, on Wed 5 Jun 19:17
  3. Chris C, they stole a draw. A good side would've beat Israel with 10 men quite easily but this Norwegian team passed sloppily, missed chances especially headers that real footballers would score. They were garbage mate and are out of the competition already. Wasn't really worth them showing up if they were going to play like that. I hope none of those players appear at my club. You would find better down the local park.

From Porcupine, on Wed 5 Jun 19:07
  4. Porcupine...? How do you work that out ??? They just drew 2 - 2 with Israel with a man short ? Can you explain which team was the worst then ? I am not saying they are a great or even a good team but doesn't that make them better than Israel ? I think if you haven't seen worse in 34 years - you need to go to specsavers ! I'll give Israel some credit for getting themselves into gear for the 2nd half but it was already sewn up in the first - at least it became more entertaining in the 2nd. If Norway had not lost a man I reckon 3 - 1 to them would have been about right.

From Chris C, on Wed 5 Jun 19:01
  5. This Norway side are the worst football team I have ever seen play in my 34 years of watching football. You could name anyone and they would be head and shoulders above them. I can play football better than any of them. How did they qualify or even get a career in football?

From Porcupine, on Wed 5 Jun 18:50
  6. Since the whole tournament has proceeded under a cloud of controversy anyway - why on earth make it 10 times worse with such heavy and obvious pro Israel decisions - grossly unfair and brings the tournament into disrepute !

From Chris C, on Wed 5 Jun 18:09
  7. OUCH - Norway are way on top but its been a long time since I've seen such an obviously 'rigged' game !
