    • - Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
    • 90+4' FULL TIME. A moment of genius from Suarez gets Liverpool a point but it could have been more, with Newcastle down to 10 men at the end.
    • 90+4' Liverpool hit the bar! A free kick from Suarez deflects up into the air and as the ball brushes Shelvey's head, Krul gets himself in a mess and allows it to bounce over him, striking the top of the bar.
    • 90+3' Well, Liverpool have certainly had the chances to win this game. Shelvey in particular has been wasteful. They will surely be frustrated with only a point.
    • 90+1' We will have four minutes of added time.
    • 90' Shelvey again! He gets his head to a cross from eight yards out but directs the ball far too close to Krul!
    • 88' A free kick makes its way to Shelvey at the back post and his snapshot is saved by Krul at the near post. Liverpool are desperate for this winner now.
    • 87' Stat from Infostrada: "He becomes the seventh Newcastle player to be sent off against Liverpool in the PL. They have only had more dismissals against Aston Villa (9)."
    • 85' That tells you just how destructive Suarez has been in this second half. That's the only way Coloccini thought he could stop him.
    • 84' RED CARD! Coloccini dismissed! And rightly so. It's filthy from the centre-back as he goes in studs up after the ball has gone in an attempt to hurt Suarez. Disgraceful.
    • 82' A cross arrives from the left and Suarez leaps into the air, only to see the ball soar over his head.
    • 80' Here comes Ben Arfa though for Newcastle and after twisting away from his man in the box he fires in a low effort that Jones saves. Cisse wanted the pass though.
    • 79' Stat from Opta: "Prior to today, Suarez had been involved in 80% of Liverpool’s Premier League goals this season (excluding own goals)."
    • 77' Cisse has a chance on the spin in the box but snatches at the ball as his shot dribbles wide. He had more time than he feared there.
    • 76' Suarez feeds Sterling to the right and Taylor gets a vital block to the forward's low shot as he looks to beat Krul. Can Newcastle hold on? Suarez is running the show.
    • 74' A change for Liverpool as Sahin is replaced by Stewart Downing.
    • 73' Taylor heads clear from a Gerrard free kick and Sterling picks the ball up to see a shot deflected over. More pressure for Liverpool, who have been excellent over the past 10 minutes.
    • 72' Newcastle win a free kick and Ben Arfa curls the ball wide from 25 yards. They need to get a grip of this game or Suarez will pull them apart again.
    • 71' Suarez is trying to change the game singlehandedly here. This has been a virtuoso five minutes from the Liverpool forward, who now has 10 goals in all competitions.
    • 70' More outrageous skill from Suarez as he takes the ball to the right of the box, goes past a couple of men and lays the ball off to Shelvey who has the goal gaping in front of him. His connection is poor though and Krul recovers to save.
    • 68' Newcastle were getting Shane Ferguson ready anyway but he comes on for Cabaye.
    • 67' GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Newcastle! Sensational from Suarez. He takes a long punt forward on his shoulder when holding off Coloccini, rounds Krul and tucks the ball away. Absolutely brilliant.
    • 66' A change for Liverpool as Jonjo Shelvey replaces Suso. That presumably means Gerrard will be moving to the right.
    • 65' Newcastle shouldn't be given a corner when Ameobi runs the ball out but they do. However, Liverpool clear to avoid any controversy.
    • 64' Enrique brings Cisse down to ground on the Newcastle right and Skrtel has to get a leg to Cabaye's free kick to clear the ball behind. Nothing comes of the corner.
    • 63' Simpson concedes a rather silly foul when pushing Sterling to ground near the touchline. However, Newcastle clear from Gerrard's free kick.
    • 62' Gerrard spots Enrique arriving at the back post and swings in a deep cross but Ben Arfa, of all people, tracks the run and heads away.
    • 61' Newcastle are now coming under more and more pressure with Gerrard seeing another shot from range blocked. Liverpool sense a goal here.
    • 60' Now Suarez combines with Sahin whose shot appears to take a touch off Taylor and dribbles just wide. However, there is no corner given.
    • 59' Lovely shot from Suarez. Pure class as he curls the ball towards the bottom corner from the left of the box, only to see Krul dive full-length to palm it out.
    • 57' Agger pulls out a lovely little touch to escape Simpson on the right but Taylor comes across to clear for Newcastle.
    • 56' Anfield howls in frustration as Newcastle start taking their time over free kicks.
    • 55' Stat from Infostrada: "Liverpool have come back from a losing position to defeat Newcastle in the PL at Anfield in four previous matches, including the 3-1 win last season, and the memorable 4-3 victory in April 1996, when they overturned a 2-1 deficit before Stan Collymore scored the last-minute winner."
    • 54' Krul comes to punch from a cross from the right and is then fouled when he does so again. Skrtel and Suarez were both challenging him for the ball.
    • 53' The last thing Newcastle need is for Cisse to be off injured as well, but he should be okay to continue in attack.
    • 52' Sterling launches into a messy tackle on Cisse which leaves the Newcastle striker crumpled in pain and needing treatment. He just gets a talking to.
    • 51' Liverpool lift a cross into the box and Agger leaps, only failing to make contact by an inch or so. Newcastle were exposed there.
    • 50' Newcastle are forced into a change as Ba is unable to continue. Sammy Ameobi is on in his place. That's a big blow.
    • 48' Now it is the turn of Gerrard to try and wriggle his way into space in the box but Newcastle keep him out too.
    • 47' Suarez looks full of intent in the early stages of the second half and darts around in the box looking to cause trouble. Newcastle keep him at bay though.
    • 46' KICK OFF!
    • - What did you make of that first half? Let me know on Twitter now. Follow Tom Adams on Twitter!
    • 45+2' Liverpool get their legs in a tangle in the box and Taylor pumps an opportunistic effort wide, but that is the break, Newcastle ahead through Cabaye's wonder goal.
    • 45+1' We will have two added minutes in this first half.
    • 45' Now Cabaye wants another and fires one off target from 25 yards. At the other end, Suarez pulls one wide. How frustrating for Liverpool.
    • 44' Harsh on Liverpool, who have been the better side, but that was an absolutely glorious goal from the Frenchman. Wonderful.
    • 43' GOAL! Liverpool 0-1 Newcastle! A stunning, stunning goal. Ben Arfa does brilliantly when beating two men in the box before hitting the byline and floating a cross to the back post for Cabaye. He takes a touch before unleashing an absolutely astounding shot from a tight angle to beat Brad Jones.
    • 42' Nice from Suso as he drifts in from the right and has a low effort deflected behind for a corner. Gerrard takes it and when the ball is cleared to Suso he fires a volley over the bar. Ambitious from the youngster.
    • 41' Suarez gets to the byline after turning Simpson but his shot/cross from a tight angle is poor.
    • 40' Gerrard thinks he is Xabi Alonso and tries to score from behind the half-way line with a free kick. It doesn't come off though.
    • 38' Superb close control from Suarez as he jinks away from two men. However, after he prods the ball to Gerrard the midfielder then fails to find Suso arriving in the box.
    • 37' Stat from Opta: "Newcastle’s match against West Brom last weekend was only the second time that Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse have scored in the same Premier League match."
    • 36' Liverpool have become a touch more ragged over the past 10 minutes or so and they now lack the control they had previously.
    • 35' Suarez embarks on a solo run through the Newcastle midfield and eventually pushes the ball wide before trying to fire a shot back across goal. It takes a deflection and bobbles into the arms of Krul.
    • 34' Skrtel appeared to lose a contact lens when making that intervention but he carries on.
    • 33' Unlucky from Cisse. He spots Ba making a run in behind and lofts a great pass over the top. However, Skrtel does just enough to stop the striker latching onto the ball.
    • 32' Suso is guilty of a clumsy tackle on Ben Arfa as he slides in on the Frenchman and a booking wouldn't have been out of place there.
    • 31' Jose Enrique meets a bouncing ball with a ferocious volleyed cross. It's a decent idea but he overcooks it and fails to find a red shirt in the box.
    • 30' Taylor attempts to meet the free kick with a header but is adjudged to be offside.
    • 29' Ba and Cisse exchange passes and the latter nutmegs Skrtel to return the ball to his team-mate. Play is called back for the foul.
    • 28' A great leap from Suarez as he gets above Taylor to meet a long ball forward from Sahin and send his header a foot or so wide. Excellent attempt from a man not known for his heading.
    • 27' Stat from Infostrada: "Liverpool have failed to score in the first half in their last four PL matches at Anfield, since Martin Skrtel’s 34th-minute goal in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City in August."
    • 26' Here comes the chance as Simpson comes on for Perch. Simpson at right-back and Santon at left-back presumably, with Anita coming into midfield.
    • 25' Perch will indeed be coming off as he can hardly run. Newcastle will have to shift things about a bit.
    • 24' A blow for Newcastle as Perch suffers what appears to be a thigh injury and he may have to be replaced.
    • 23' What a gorgeous touch from Suarez as he dinks the ball one side of Coloccini before spinning the other. However, a Newcastle boot prevents him from following up with a shot.
    • 22' Liverpool are by far the better side at present. Newcastle have no answer to them.
    • 21' Nuri Sahin sets Suarez free with a lovely poked pass into the right channel and he cuts inside before being denied by a fine low save from Krul. That shot was heading for the far corner.
    • 20' It is Suarez who takes the free kick and the Uruguayan gets some outrageous bend on his shot as it curves towards the top corner and out of Krul's reach. However, it doesn't quite have enough on it and brushes the net wide of the post.
    • 19' Suarez threatens to get away from Perch so the Newcastle man goes in in desperation and brings him to ground some 20 yards from goal. He is fortunate not to be booked and it is a free kick to the hosts.
    • 17' Cisse is absolutely fuming for Newcastle! Santon was set free down the left and had the option for a quick centre to find the Senegal striker. However, he delayed and the cross ended up being too high for Cisse, who got a faint head to it before Liverpool cleared.
    • 16' Coloccini clatters into the advertising hoardings as Nuri Sahin is penalised for a foul on Cabaye.
    • 15' A rare passing move from Newcastle. Ben Arfa appears to run out of options before spreading the ball to the left flank and Newcastle find Ba, who drills his effort over the bar from 20 yards. That's better.
    • 13' Stat from Opta: "Newcastle have won none of their last five Premier League away games, but have drawn the last three in a row."
    • 12' Liverpool are completely dominant at the moment with Newcastle struggle to string together any meaningful passing moves. Rodgers's side have been impressive through there may be a danger they tire themselves out if they continue playing with this energy.
    • 11' Sterling gets a sight of goal 25 yards from goal following a Suarez knockdown but his shot is wayward and flies well wide of the post.
    • 10' Ba controls the ball superbly well on his chest on the right wing but fails to escape Jose Enrique when the Spaniard advances to come and snuff out the threat.
    • 9' Stat from Infostrada: "Liverpool have scored 45 PL goals against Newcastle at Anfield, more than they have against any other team."
    • 8' Now Suso gets in on the act as he cuts in from his position wide on the right and fires in a low one that is turned behind for a corner. Krul palms the ball behind again but Demba Ba heads the second corner clear.
    • 6' Replays show that Coloccini blocked the ball with his midriff as Suarez tried to nick it past him so the referee made the correct decision.
    • 5' Luis Suarez wants a penalty! The striker cuts a familiar shape when throwing up his hands in exasperation after Fabricio Coloccini appears to touch the ball with his arm as Suarez tries to sneak past him in the box.
    • 4' Plenty of early pressure for Liverpool as they look keen to put Newcastle on the back foot. The men in red shirts are snapping into tackles and using the ball with real purpose.
    • 3' Gerrard looks to mark his 600th game with a typical goal, smacking in a fierce effort from 25 yards that deflects off target. Anita then fouls Raheem Sterling but the free kick is not exploited to the full.
    • 2' A genuine roar around Anfield as You'll Never Walk Alone ends. The home fans clearly sense a possible win to alleviate a rather gloomy season so far.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 16:00 A quick stat from Opta which teels you a lot about Liverpool's year: "Liverpool’s total of only three home wins in the league this year is their joint-lowest along with 1939, a year when the league was curtailed by war. Their lowest total of home wins in a full year of games is six in 1897."
    • 15:55 My name is Tom Adams by the way and I will be taking you through this match at Anfield. Follow me on Twitter if you want. Follow Tom Adams on Twitter!
    • 15:50 So Liverpool are unchanged from the side that drew at Everton as Steven Gerrard makes his 600th appearance for the club. Quite an achievement. Newcastle make three chances as Papiss Cisse, Steven Taylor and Vurnon Anita come in for Shola Ameobi, Mike Williamson and Danny Simpson.
    • 15:45 Given those stats it's no surprise that Alan Pardew rates Luis Suarez as the main danger: "Suarez is an outstanding talent. I think you have to see how many chances he creates and how many things he does in a game. You could do a highlights show for him after every game. I’ve been talking to Hatem (Ben Arfa) about trying to have the same impact that Suarez is having."
    • 15:40 Liverpool might be short of strikers in the squad, but at least the one they do have is in the form of his life: Luis Suarez has had a hand in 80% of his team's goals this season, even if only one of his last nine goals was scored at home.
    • 15:35 Newcastle are rank outsiders this afternoon at 5/1, despite an impressive display against West Brom last week that saw both Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse score.
    • 15:30 Brendan Rodgers seemed a nervous man earlier this week after seeing his side dismantled by Swansea in the League Cup, and he is already looking to the transfer market: "We'll have funds," he said. " priority is to get players into the building. Our squad is very small, very thin on the ground."
    • 15:25 TEAMS - Liverpool: Jones; Wisdom, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique; Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Suso; Sterling, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Henderson, Assaidi, Carragher, Shelvey, Downing, Coates. //// Newcastle: Krul; Anita, S Taylor, Coloccini, Santon; Ben Arfa, Perch, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Ba, Cisse. Subs: Harper, Williamson, Ferguson, Bigirimana, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi
    • 15:20 Mixed omens for the Reds today: the last five Premier League games between Newcastle and Liverpool have all ended as home wins, but Liverpool have only won three of their last 14 Premier League matches at Anfield.
    • 15:15 Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Liverpool's mouthwatering clash against the Magpies at Anfield.

  10. OK heres the score. Yes Rodgers is right saying Suarez was imence fact. But he did not mention the poor performance from the rest of the team especially Enrique (Looked very ordinary and clumsy) , Allen (no class), Shelvey (Absoulute donkey)! Liverpool did not win 1 corner! Balls in from Gerrard were below Power. Sterling always gives 100% but has yet to show any finesse and class infront of goal! When you have a couple of player giving 110% and the rest giving 50% you will never win a game! Draw yes we have already seen that! Can't blame manager for poor quality players!

  17. #$%$! LFC sure knows how to frustrate its fans. To me it seems that the senior players should move like Chelsea and get Rodgers out because whatever his system of play or method of motivation is certainly isn't fitting. Our LFC players are to modest.
