  2. Well, the real Vale did turn up and were unlucky not to get the draw. We matched Peterborough for 85 minutes and not by clogging but by playing football. If we play like this, and the wins will come. Good to see Mickey back on the touchline and on two legs and a crutch! TOOMA! TWOY!

  4. No excuses, Michael, we played very poorly; what is your excuse for losing a 3 goal lead? If we continue to play as we did against Rochdale, we won't deserve to be in League 1, but we will play better. We didn't get started, but the second half against Coventry is what we are capable of. We will need to strengthen the squad in January. Will be back at Vale Park on Saturday, hopefully the real Vale will turn up though Peterborough will be a hard team to beat as they ought to be in the promotion places come the end of the season. TOOMA! TWOY!

  6. It was like watching England last night - couldn't keep possession or find a team mate with a pass most of the time either. We were awful and they showed us how to find space and keep the ball. Our midfield didn't get going and Lines was lucky not to get sent off. They didn't offer a lot in attack but didn't really need to. Defensive error for their goal but they took it well and deserved to win. Got to be better on Saturday, could hardly be worse.

  7. Scraped or perhaps scrapped a draw against Bristol City, and we need to get midfield tighter or we will struggle. They bossed midfield and their no 10, Emmanuel-Thomas was the best player on the pitch. Griff was below par and Loft didn't perform as he can. The defence will be better balanced when Jones comes back and he will add threat to the attack as well. The ball spent too long in the air on Saturday, we needed to talk more to let players know when they had the time to control the ball and use it. Still, we didn't lose and we didn't let them create very much. Can't say the same for Chesterfailed, can you, Michael? Threw away a 3 goal lead to lose 4-3. Couldn't happen to a nicer team! The slide is well under way! TOOMA! TWOY!
