Poker player’s unbelievable reaction...

To most people, the very idea of winning £1 million makes them want to punch the air with unbridled joy. To scoop £9m? That's just beyond anyone's wildest dreams.

So when Daniel Colman was triumphant in one of the biggest poker tournaments in history at the 2014 Big One for One Drop event at the World Series of Poker, everyone expected him to go berserk.

After a brilliant final-hand win, the American pipped Canada's Daniel Negreanu, a six-time World Series of Poker champion.

To clinch such a life-changing amount of money in glorious circumstances after a tense and nerve-shredding event is beyond comprehension. It is certainly worthy of one very big celebration.

But Colman proceeded to stun the world with his muted, almost unimpressed, reaction.

To be fair to him, it must be extremely difficult to suddenly click out of competitive mode, particularly with an unflinching 'poker face'.

Yet it seems utterly bizarre to any fan that Colman did not go wild or even show the slightest glimmer of a celebration.

Perhaps it is simply indicative of the kind of personality that is required to succeed at the highest level of a sport that demands more of emotion-control than almost any other.

Regardless, we doff our hats to you, Daniel. Just celebrate better next time, okay?
