Often some of the funniest, most interesting and quirky moments at sports events go almost unnoticed, rarely featured in reports or blog posts.
So here are five ridiculous things you may not have already seen or heard about from the last week in the sporting world.
Did you see anything particularly noteworthy that passed off without mention? Feel free to bring it to our attention in the comments section below...
1) WHAT WAS HE THINKING? - Liverpool starlet posts pic of gun, cash and kitten in luggage
— 101 Great Goals (@102greatgoals) June 9, 2014
This has got to be one of the most bizarre and disturbing photos a professional sportsman has decided to share on social media. Quite what Liverpool striker Samed Yesil was thinking uploading the image we will simply never know, even if the picture was not originally his.
The 20-year-old looks to be heading to Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan, after injuries held up his chances of progress at the Reds, and has used his Instagram account to share a bizarre picture of luggage containing a kitten, large amounts of dollar bills and a hand gun.
The picture, which was originally posted by poker playboy Dan Bilzerian, was accompanied with a message ‘!stanbu’ and was hastily removed after swiftly becoming a huge hit on social media. It's pretty clear to see what it's caused such a stir.

2) LOOK AT LUIZ'S HAIR! - Nike's new animated feature is going down a storm
Nike's latest move is certainly an impressive one, as they have used their superstar roster to produce a new five minute long animated feature that is sure you go viral.
The video entitled 'The Last Game' sees some of the world's most expressive players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Neymar take a team of 'Clones' created by a Scientist hell bent on taking risk-taking out of football.
We were certainly impressed by the results and think it is well worth a watch, although we're not so sure about the guy who voiced Wayne Rooney or if the England striker will be happy about how chunky he looks!

3) TAXI, STOP FOR THE STARS! - Mexico players cab it to World Cup training after bus dies
Cab please! Well, who'd have thought we'd see this at the World Cup?
"Our bus has shrunk, hahahahaha," Mexican captain Rafael Marquez said on his Twitter account, posting a selfie of himself along with Marco Fabian, Hector Herrera and Alfredo Talavera in a taxi - and linked out to a photo on his instagram account (as seen above).

4) WAIT, WHAT IS THAT? Strange detail in the background of England training pic
The old adage goes that a picture paints a 1,000 words and that is certainly the case here as a submarine is seen stalking England training.
What could the threat be that such force is required?
We really are not sure, but it is certainly worrying.

5) RIGHT, LET'S MAKE OUR OWN SHIRTS - Cardiff City fans are so fed up with their red kit, they're making blue ones again
Cardiff City fans have had enough of the club’s controversial red kit, two years after unpopular owner Vincent Tan decided to change the Bluebirds’ historic kit colours from blue to red.
Now disgruntled supporters (and that's pretty much everyone), along with newspaper the South Wales Echo, are hitting back and have released four blue shirt designs for fans to vote on, with the winner being produced for sale.
The campaign all forms part of the Back to Blue campaign and £5 from every shirt sale will be donated to local children’s hospice Ty Hafan. A good cause, supporting another good cause.
