Venus Williams cruised into the second round of the French Open on Sunday afternoon but far more eye-catching than her 6-4 6-1 scoreline over Belinda Bencic was her choice of outfit.

Williams, 33, strode out onto court in a bold, Jackson Pollock-esque design which gave a welcome splash of colour to proceedings at Roland Garros.

But which famous sports fashion house was responsible for the creation? Nike? Adidas? Puma? No. EleVen, by Venus Williams.

That's right, Venus designed the dress herself on her own fashion label and it was certainly a big hit with fans on Twitter.

Faring less well in front of the dedicated followers of fashion was Agnieszka Radwanska, the world number three, who came in for a bit of stick for the creation below.

We make that advantage Venus in the fashion stakes.
