A well-known news organisation had to deny that it was in fact a country in a bizarre turn of events after a television mix up.
That is right, you have read that correctly.
Qatari news organisation Al Jazeera had to send the following tweet after a humorous mishap from former England manager Glenn Hoddle during ITV’s coverage of the World Cup last 16 tie between Algeria and Germany on Monday.

Hoddle, who is working as a pundit for ITV, was analysing the last 16 tie between Algeria and Germany when he became, shall we say, a little tongue tied.
You can see the footage of said incident below.
It is fair to say that Hoddle came in for no little ribbing regarding his unfortunate slip of the tongue, as can be seen from the below reactions and tweets.
Lovely gaffe from Hoddle. — George McNeil (@McNeilGeorge) June 30, 2014
What do you make of the furore? Was it a simple slip of the tongue or a grave error?
