Germany coach ‘picks nose’ before shaking hands with Ronaldo

When Cristiano Ronaldo marched down the tunnel following Portugal’s limp 4-0 defeat to Germany, opposition coach Joachim Loew offered him a consolatory handshake.

But it wasn’t long before this simple act of sportsmanship was provoking wide debate on social media.

The reason? Many users were adamant that Loew had picked his nose before shaking hands with the Real Madrid forward.

The evidence is pretty damning. Loew clearly enjoys a prolonged period of nostril-fiddling and elects not to wipe his hand before offering it to Ronaldo.
