A pre-season friendly between Roma and Real Madrid witnessed another moment of controversy involving Pepe - the king of wind-ups.

The clash in Dallas witnessed a form of Clasico reunion when former Barcelona player Seydou Keita refused to shake hands with Pepe and then threw a water bottle at him before the match.

The two teams were then involved in a stand-off, with Xabi Alonso having to have words with Keita.

Our friends at Dirty Tackle had more information on what exactly occurred in the friendly in the States:

"Keita accused Pepe of calling him a monkey during the first leg of the Spanish Supercopa in 2011. According to the Fox broadcast for the Roma-Real Madrid match, the fourth official said that Pepe spat at Keita at some point during the handshake/water bottle incident, as well.

"Despite the seriousness of these accusations, Pepe still managed a smile as the water bottle whizzed past him. But that's probably because at this point in his career of violence and misdeeds he must be used to these things."
