European Team of the Week: Terry top on the continent

Chelsea skipper John Terry made Opta's European Team of the Week after a commanding performance on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho was frustrated when his side could only draw 0-0 against the relegation contenders but Terry completed 95% of his passes and made eight clearances at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle were also represented in the defence as right-back Mathieu Debuchy made the list thanks to five successful tackles and hitting the woodwork once.

In attack was the familiar face of Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a crucial late goal against Valencia and attempted no less than 14 shots.

But perhaps the star striker was, surprisingly, Aston Villa's Andreas Weimann, who scored twice against Hull and had eight touches in the opponents' box.
