The Yahoo Fantasy Premier League Week Three deadline is fast approaching, so we've taken a look at five players we recommend for your fantasy team this week.

Stevan Jovetic (Manchester City) / Forward/ £9.78m - The Manchester City forward was recommended in this column in Week One and put in a classy display against Newcastle, but unfortunately it didn't translate in to fantasy points. That all changed in Week Two, as Jovetic scored a brace against Liverpool to back-up the superb performances we saw throughout pre-season. In this form he will be a starter for the foreseeable future and his club have the pick of the Week Three fixtures, at home to Stoke City.

Dusan Tadic (Southampton) / Midfielder / £6.53m - Southampton's summer signing from FC Twente is already showing signs of promise with a 12 point haul against West Brom in Week 2, which included returns for a variety of attacking contributions. Tadic is classed as a midfielder in our fantasy game but is lining up as a left-sided forward in Ronald Koeman's current system and he had an excellent goal-scoring record in the Eredivisie. The Serbian also gets to take his fair share of set pieces, so he's well worth a look for the Saints' trip to West Ham.

Robin van Persie (Manchester United) / Forward / £12.56m - While van Persie's return to fitness is obviously a positive for Manchester United, it is likely to have a negative impact on Wayne Rooney's fantasy production as the two men share attacking points. In my mind that makes Rooney too expensive at £17million, especially as he gives up penalty duty to van Persie, so your focus should be on the Dutchman, who can be picked up for a very reasonable £12.5million for the match at newly-promoted Burnley.

Yaya Toure (Manchester City) / Midfielder / £11.91m - It's been a disappointing start to the fantasy season for Yaya Toure - one of the top points scorers in the Yahoo game last campaign - returning zeroes in Week One and Week Two. To be fair to the midfielder he has been playing a slightly deeper role so far to provide a bit of extra support to new signing Fernando, but I expect Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini to grant him a bit more freedom to get forward for the home game against Stoke. Yaya in a more attacking role usually results in big fantasy points.

Alan Hutton (Aston Villa) / Defender / £8.12m - Many people believed Hutton was set to leave Aston Villa over the summer, so it was a surprise to see the Scottish international back on the right-side of defence for the opening day of the season. After rebuilding his relationship with manager Paul Lambert it seems Hutton is determined to make up for lost time, putting in an excellent performance in the win at Stoke as his side grabbed a clean sheet and an unexpected victory. The defender followed that up with a man-of-the-match performance - and 16 fantasy points - against Newcastle, and he should be in your thoughts for Villa's Week Three fixture at home to Hull.
