Injury Report: Gameweek 6

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger could be out for up to four weeks after fracturing a rib in Sunday's 4-0 Premier League defeat at Tottenham.

The Denmark international sustained the injury when he fell heavily in the first half and he had to be substituted before half-time.

There are contrasting reports on the extent of the injury, but he will definitely miss the visit of Wolves this weekend.

Mixed news for Manchester United, who look set to welcome Rio Ferdinand to the side as the England centre-back has recovered from a calf strain, but they may be without Chris Smalling, who has a groin problem. Phil Jones will likely fill in at right-back, given the continued absence of Rafael da Silva.

Chelsea will be without Alex for the visit of Swansea to Stamford Bridge after the Brazilian centre-back was sent off in the midweek Carling Cup clash with neighbours Fulham.

Arsenal's Yossi Benayoun scored his first goal for the club against Shrewsbury on Tuesday, but he is set to be absent for the game against Bolton with a strain.

The Israeli said on Twitter: "Very disappointed as I have a strain and will be out for a week or so."

Elsewhere there is good news for several other clubs. Newcastle saw long-term absentee Hatem Ben Arfa return in midweek, while Davide Santon's knee injury may not require surgery after all.

Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar is slated to return to training next week, while Stuart Holden played all 90 minutes for Bolton in their Carling Cup win at Aston Villa.
