Shoe got to be kidding me!

Well when it comes to Mario Balotelli we should not be surprised by anything.

The controversial Italian striker has been showing off his shoe collection on Instagram and there are some suitably bizarre pairs in his eclectic collection.

We are no fashion experts here at Early Doors but you certainly wouldn't see us dead in some of these 'kicks.' If anybody could pull them off it might just be our man Mario.

The former Manchester City has had a mixed season with AC Milan but was in a good mood on Sunday night after starting for the Rossoneri in their 1-0 derby win over Inter.

Balotelli walked into a storm two weeks ago when he lost his temper in front of the cameras after his performance in a 2-0 loss to AS Roma and was criticised by Italian television pundits.

The 23-year-old told the pundits they did not understand football and threw his microphone down at the end of the interview.

That sparked speculation that he could be sold to an English club in the summer – with Tottenham and Arsenal linked – and that he might be left out of Italy's World Cup squad.

However, both Milan coach Clarence Seedorf and Italy boss Cesare Prandelli have since publically backed the striker so we should be seeing him in Brazil – possibly even against England on June 14.

Let's hope the most exciting impact he makes in that match comes in the shape of some funky boots and not some magical goals.

Former Arsenal forward Gervinho has also grabbed the spotlight during a night out in Italy for all the wrong reasons with footwear that Balotelli would be proud of.

The winger, now at Roma, was spotted wearing a pair of what appeared to be women’s shoes…

Nicklas Bendtner's fashion sense is also almost as outlandish as some of the comments the Arsenal striker has made in the past.

The Gunners frontman, who once claimed he could see himself playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona in the future, showed off a garish pair of trainers via his Instagram account called the 'Bad Boys'.

Suddenly Balotelli's collection does not look so bad after all...
