Tim Sherwood certainly took his final match as Tottenham Hotspur's interim manager with good humour.

At one stage in the second half, the Spurs boss remarkably sought out a fan in the stands, handed him his legendary gilet and asked him to sit in the home dugout!

Was he nominating his successor, to get one over chairman Daniel Levy prior to his inevitable departure as boss this summer?

Who knows, but the hilarious moment provided a bit of comic relief on the final day of the Premier League season.

There are suggestions that the lucky supporter was giving Sherwood abuse - something the interim boss has had to endure during an at times shambolic time in charge of Spurs.

But his parting gift to the club is sixth place in the league and a spot in the Europa League. Will his successor fare better? Not if it's this random fan...
