One of the more recognisable voices in the English game, some of his exclamations can be a little bit bizarre – he once screamed ‘basecamp!’ for no apparent reason at half-time of a Champions League match between Arsenal and Barcelona.
However, during the official commentary for Tottenham’s match with Fulham on Saturday, the veteran pundit bettered himself.
A Fulham chance resulted in a fine save from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, to which Drury yelled “that would have been one of the goals of the season!”
Unfortunately, rights regulations forbid us from showing you Hugo Rodallega’s header, which came from a fairly routine left-wing cross.
Granted, it was a good header, but we can assure you it was nowhere near one of the best moves of the season – indeed, there was superior fare on offer at White Hart Lane in that very match.
Better was Rodallega's reaction to Lloris' save, as the Colombian striker embraced the Frenchman in sportsmanlike fashion.

It could have been worse mind – it could have been Michael Owen’s anodyne punditry on BT Sport.
