Irish musician produces epic acoustic version of Champions League anthem

Early Doors

There is nothing quite like the Champions League anthem to stir the souls of football fans but you've never heard it quite like this.

Irish musician Paul Quinn has created a simply stunning version of the famous hymn using just his acoustic guitar and his webcam.

Quinn filmed himself playing nine different parts of the song and then merged them all together to create the wonderful tune you see above.

Not only that but he arranged it all by ear with no sheet music used.

The original piece was composed by Englishman Tony Britten, performed by London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and sung by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chorus.

However, we reckon Quinn has created something every bit as epic all by himself.
