    • 80' And it's all over in Christchurch! The Crusaders are deservedly crowned Super 14 champions! It was a cracking match, and both sides played with flair and ambition. A credit to Super 14 rugby. Thanks for joining me.
    • 75' Carter slots another penalty and surely it's all over now! The Crusaders lead by eight points, with just five minutes on the clock.
    • 70' CARTER WITH A DROP-GOAL!! Wonderful speed of hand and foot from the All Black fly-half, who squeezes out the kick to open a five-point lead.
    • 67' The Crusaders with a strong drive and they come SO CLOSE to a score, but the Waratahs steal and attempt to run the ball from the try line.
    • 65' The Waratahs still have a man advantage, and they're throwing everything at this now. A try for the Crusaders on the break would surely end this, though, so they need to be aware of the counter.
    • 62' Beale has been forced off through injury, and Matt Carraro is on as a replacement.
    • 56' UNBELIEVABLE DRAMA! The Crusaders kick through and Wyatt Crockett profits from a fortunate bounce to go over. But the referree disallows the score after learning from the touch judge that Brad Thorn threw a punch up the field. That could be a pivotal moment of the match.
    • 53' Turner chips through, and the Waratahs burst into the Crusaders 22. The New Zealanders clear their lines, but the Australians come right back at them.
    • 50' The Waratahs have come right back into this, in terms of possession. They're competing fiercely in the pack, and look the most likely to score at this time.
    • 46' High tackle from the Crusaders tight to their line, and Carter slots the resultant penalty to put the New Zealanders ahead.
    • 43' Early possession with the Waratahs. A pass goes forward from skipper Phil Waugh, however, and the Crusaders have the scrum.
    • 41' And we're away in the second half! Should be an absolute humdinger.
    • 40' And there's the half-time whistle. What a 40 minutes of rugby that was. Both sides are chucking it about and running at every opportunity. The Crusaders have dominated possession and territory, but remain a point behind. It's set up for a cracking second period.
    • 38' Another cracking try! This time it goes to the Crusaders. Carter throws a long looping pass, and McCaw shows quick hands to feed Mose Tuiali'i, who powers over. Carter misses the conversion.
    • 32' Scott Hamilton gets his first opening down the left, and it takes two Crusaders defenders to stop him. In the resultant ruck Tafafu Polota-Nau spoils, and does so unfairly. "That was cheating," says the referree. Dan Carter slots the penalty.
    • 28' Here come Canterbury right back at them. They drive forward, but concede a free-kick for failing to release on the ground.
    • 26' ANOTHER TRY FOR TURNER! What a finish. The 20-year-old winger chased down his own kick, and had the legs to pass two Crusaders defenders and touch down. Beale converts and the Australians lead 12-3, completely against the run of play.
    • 24' Wonderful defence from Beale. Waratahs tried to run the ball from their own 22, and a mistake led to an opening, but Beale cleaned up neatly.
    • 22' Carter misses. The New Zealanders have dominated territory here, but they still find themselves behind.
    • 20' The Waratahs survive, but a penalty is conceded on the left - in about the same area Carter scored from early on. This to put the New Zealanders back into the lead.
    • 16' Pressure from the Crusaders. Several drives lead to an opening on the left, but Leon McDonald goes for the line when he should have spread it wide. There was an overlap, and a chance for the score goes begging.
    • 12' What a contest we have on our hands here. The Crusaders are now in the ascendancy, and they're throwing it about liberally. But they've making too many rudementary handling errors.
    • 9' WHAT A TRY FOR THE CRUSADERS! Kurtley Beale kicks accurately to the corner and Lachie Turner times his run perfectly to leap above Carter and go over for the score. Beale misses the conversion attempt.
    • 7' The Crusaders have some good possession, and they're recycling ball effectively so far.
    • 4' The Australians are penalised for pulling down the scrum, and Dan Carter slots from wide on the left to put them ahead.
    • 2' Good early drive from the Crusaders, and All Black skipper Richie McCaw makes a powerful burst. Waratahs win the scrum on their 22.
    • 1' And we're off. Great atmosphere in the stands, and the Waratahs collect and find touch after making the mark.
    • - And here come the Crusaders, to a partisan welcome from the Christchurch crowd. The New Zealanders are in red and black jerseys, with black shorts and socks.
    • - Australia's Waratahs take the field first, in light blue jerseys, with dark blue shorts and socks. As usual, they will be captained by Phil Waugh.
