Organisers decided to wait once again as "minimal surf prevails at Haleiwa through Thursday... with a small North swell wrapping in to help the surf pick up slightly from the past couple days". However the waves are still in the one-to-two-foot category.
The swell is expected to build towards the end of the week, allowing the competition to resume on Saturday, the final day of its 13-day window.
The event on the North Shore of the island has seen action on just three days so far. Only two of eight round-of-32 heats have been completed.
The likes of Kelly Slater, John John Florence, Bede Durbridge, Gabriel Medina and Jeremy Flores are all still in the competition.
The Reef Hawaiian Pro offers £623,000 in prize money this year, including a bonus of over £60,000, a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a custom Nixon watch for the overall series champion.
